Music Life - Blog Beginnings

- Final picture before we installed the new protools HD rig. Hi everyone, and thanks for checking out the site. I will be constantly updating you all on everything Music Life and The Blue Room recording. My constant journey in the music industry and as a creative person in life trying to bring my visions to life. The room has been booked out nonstop which is a good thing and we have recently been able to make major upgrades. I am finally at a point where I am so happy with the way my Drum Machine and outboard synths are sounding. Lately, I've been running my old MPC 3000 to a couple API 512c's and going into the Lynx Aurora. The drums might as well smack you in the face. It is great to sonically get things where you have always dreamed about. I've been in the mode of chopping samples and drum loops. I guess you can call it hip-hop mode. The main new music that is inspiring me right now is hip-hop. Rnb has turned into rnb without the soul and the lyrics seem to be progressively worse. Rnb as a genre in pop music seems to be stagnent right now. I love music with a story and an edge. Lately, I've been blown away by everything Kanye has been putting out and studying old Organized Noize production.. One of the artists I've been working on is Sammie who recently got a new deal with Interscope. I think Sammie has a really great voice and is a pro in the studio. I've been trying to give him tracks that are out of the box. Still rnb but with more of a rock/neo feel. Trying to take him to the substance instead of just sounding like another singer singing over thin sounding synths and the same cliche drum cadence. Sammie's project is really cool because his writing has really been taking off. Anyway, please start following Music Life and I will be updating with pictures, videos, discoveries, leaks, etc!

Bill
